Default Sun Spots ??????

On average how big are they? What was the worse sun spot condition the
sun ever had since we have recorded them (taken pictures)? Could a
sun spot condition ever block the radiation of the sun from reaching the
Earth? I'm thinking that it is written in the bible that the sun
did not appear for a day. Could sun spots been the cause? Bert
