John Steinberg was pontificating
A little historical tidbit about WebTV (Marty's means of access.) It was developed by Apple engineers who then pitched it back to their employers. Apple said "nyet" and off they went for bluer horizons. Ultimately, of course, MS bought WebTV, and the rest, as they say, is history. Yup. This little webbybox seems to do about everything I need it for, and while I can be a vector for viruses, they can't hurt me. (Except for the kind that fills up my mailbox with stuff from infected computers...) And it's so simple to use, even I can use it! I just sit here on my couch with my little infrared keyboard and watch my TV screen... Marty |
