Today, 15 April, was the deadline for objections from the eight other
homeowners in our little subdivision. No one objected; one gentleman asked me to plant some (additional) leyland cypress trees at north edge of my property. No problem. Another neighbor said that he would approve provided that his wife, who has an interest in astronomy, were permitted to come over from time to time to look through the telescopes. Welcome! The wood substructure for the Observa-Dome is all but complete, though I don't yet have either of the concrete foundations (one for the Astropier, isolated from the second foundation that will support the observatory). Now that the objection deadline has passed it's time to get serious about finding a concrete contractor. Latest pix are at http://www.davidillig.com/observatory1.shtml.
