Will someone please confirm that "****" is used as a derogatory terms in America as well as in the UK? I don't think I've ever heard it used with an American accent in films. Yup, it is derogatory. Seldom used in polite company, seldom used even in no-so-polite company such as movies. No kidding! In case there's a difference in the literal meaning from place to place, where I live, it is a synonym for the female pudenda, although it's not nearly as crude as the other word for that.
