Hello all,
If anyone has used or does use any of the .965" Pocono orthos or the ..965" Plossls from Meridian Telescopes http://www.meridiantelescopes.com/plossl.html , I'd be interested in your opinions on these. I've read some of Bill Foley's posts recommending the Pocono orthos, I did see a post on Excelcis about the 1.25" 6mm Pocono ortho being a bit soft. I have a 7mm UO classic and it is not soft in any way, so if these little orthos are made by UO, as was suggested, I'd hope they'd be okay. http://www.poconoscopes.com/east/index.html I'm wondering about ghosting, field flatness, constrast, sharpness, light throughput, if the view is overall has warm, cool, or neutral/natural color tone. I might pick up one of each and see what's what. I realize that you get what you pay for, but these might be a good find. If I do, I'll post my results to this message. Thanks and clear skies to all, Kerry |
