Default Newbie-Tasco Starguide-Homemade SLR Camera Adaptor

I just picked up a Tasco Starguide 60mm? scope, which has an electronic
battery powered controller, at a yard sale for $20.00. I want to connect
this to my Canon Digital Rebel 300 SLR Camera. From what I'ver read, I need
a T-mount (attaches to camera?) and a tube adaptor? First, is a tmount
universal? I mean, is it a standard thread? Also, does the tube have any
lens in it? Can I just use a Cap for my camera body, and some some delrin
or aluminum tubing turned on the lathe to fit in the adaptor (elbow piece?)
on the scope? Any help would be appreciated.I would love to take some nifty
shots of the moon and maybe more....Tom
