I imaged the supernova myself a couple of nights ago, and was impressed by its intensity relative to the host galaxy. However, there appears to be another start very close by (not clearly separated in my images) and I wonder, are the magnitudes you cite the combined light for the two stars, or just the SN? pej -- Per Erik Jorde |
