All,
First attempt at imaging this and it turns out to be a most interesting object. IC410 in Auriga. 3x30 minute sub exposures Sigma-Reject Combined and levels and curves in Photoshop. Not centered in the FOV but there were no guidestars to be had visible through the Ha filter. http://www.celestial-images.com/Imag...x1800s-Ha.html Needs more data though and I'll certainly gather some more when the "grey nebula" clears. Regards Bill I just added a link to this picture in my article about observing IC 410 and the tadpoles -- which so far I've not been able to verify by eye, looking at the nebula (I wonder if it can be done? Might possibly require a very, very large aperture scope...) The other pictures I had used as references were all done by larger aperture Ritcheys. You have achieved virtually the same clarity with a smaller scope having more conventional optics: congrats! AstroApp |
