Default Seek tech specs on Orlan spacesuit thermal control system

"Jim Oberg" wrote in message news:...
Can anyone direct me to technical details of the Orlan spacesuit
external heat exchange system -- the 'sublimator' which dumps
water into space, where it evaporates from the side of the unit,
taking heat away with it into the vacuum?

How much water is used, typically, during a space walk?

How fast does the water escape -- what is the typical
velocity of the water molecules?

Is it a narrow beam of molecules, or is the escaping water covering
a broad angle out the back of the Orlan spacesuit?

Thank you!

You may suspect this has to do with an issue concerning the
space walk tonight. You might well think so, but at this point,
I couldn't possibly comment.

Jim
