Because you have to wait three or four or more months anyway to get one.
Scott just doesn't have to worry about multiple dealers, people come to
him.
Have you noticed that he no longer advertises either, same reason.
I have always found that the AP adds at the back of S&T were kind of
funny, with the scope and a 900.......things you would have to wait
about five years to actually buy........I mean really, why advertise for
something you can't supply, or set up a bunch of dealers who you can't
stock?
------------------------------------------------------------

As Herb Says, pretty much everything in stock from Losmandy. IMO, Herb,
and company appears to have been about the best unwavering Losmandy
dealer there is over the years. Darn tough to beat thier prices, and
service also.

It's understandable the Titan's not in stock, as larger mounts like this
usually aren't produced in as large of quantities. I waited 1 year for
my HGM-200 years ago.

Those little ads in S+T I hear cost an arm, and a leg.

A company like Astro-Physics probably actually doesn't have to spend
money advertising in S+T neither if they chose so. Perhaps an Ad every
other month would be better for them?

Thanks for your comments. All I wanted is a pair of 3-point holders for my
G-11. I originally bought it from Pocono Mts but you know what happened to
them

Ahhhhhhh, but Herb, ATWB is an exception, and exceptional.

Most dealers of astronomical instruments haven't even come close to
doing for the hobby what you have.

Your willingness to stock everything is far from the rule, it is the
exception.

I make trips from Victoria over to see what you have on a regular basis,
and it's actually a little holiday for me.

I'm actually surprised that you haven't arranged with Roland to have a
few scopes and mounts in stock at all times.........I mean you've got
the big TV in stock (even if it's just one)...........I rest my case!

Once you are as established as AP and don't really need an ad, it is
practically a public service, supporting what is probably the most popular
astro-mag.

I've had my Titan for a year now. I'm still waiting for the fix to have it
working "as advertised." I wonder if my warranty will still be good once they
finally get it fixed.

We like to support the magazines with a monthly income (small but nevertheless
welcome). Our ads and delivery will improve in the future as we finish building
our addition and expanding our manufacturing capabilities. Patience dear
readers.
