Default Choice, Meade ETX90 or Cestron 114GT

what would be your choice, and why. Anything else that stands out at this
price?

I don't think either is good VFM for a first telescope.

Anything else that stands out at this price?

[Snip sig]

Hint #1: You might like to consider trimming your sig a bit -- those of
over 4 lines tend to draw flak in uk.* hierarchy NGs.

Hint #2(a): It's not an email, it's a USENET article.
Hint #2(b): Don't you think it's a bit daft appending something like
that to a USENET article?

Best,
Stephen (Not trying to be confrontative, but to forestall confrontation)

Thanks for the info, and I'm not sure how the sig got attatched to the ng
message, its not suposed to acording to my options.

And I know top postings frowned upon, but no idea why. Having to scroll down
every message to read a repy just seems stupid to me.

It interrupts the natural flow of conversation.
How do you feel about top posting?

Most people like to think their messages will be read (and a bit of
context helps)

Bottom posting makes the poster snip and snip again from the message
replied to, leaving only relevant context and minimising the scrolling
needed.

By top posting your next message in this thread, you have managed to
snip nothing, including your sig - which you have already said was in
error. Why quote known and acknowledged error? If this goes on, posts
get longer than the bible and I have to pay for my dial up calls.

A waste of time really since most people seem to use Outlook Express as
their news reader and that top posts by default and doesn't give you the
option to change it.

I have to say that if I was using OE I'd top post as well, however, my
reader of choice is Gravity and that bottom posts by default.

Bur any user of Outlook express can install OE quotefix (free) which changes
the default to bottom posting.

I use Outlook Express.
It really isn't difficult to snip and bottom post.
