ED refractor lenses

I am wondering if it is possible to buy ED refractor lenses for making or
modifying a telescope
and where you buy these. I am told that you need to get the lenses first and
then design a cell
to go with them.

Not that easy to make a cell that will work well with ED or Apo lenses.
I can understand doing it to modify an existing scope, but if you just
want to make a scope, buying a lens and cell predone from a place like
TMB might make more sense.
