Default NEW 20x70 Binocular Fails Super Bargain Prospect - Sept. 23, 2003

The Brand New Model NC Star 20x70 with green multicoated objective
lenses for $49.99 or less on eBay looks not quite up to snuff...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tegory=28 180
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tegory=28 180
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=2953085 444

Oh well, this one likely would have made Super Bargain Prospect status
but all the eyepiece elements are left uncoated. The lowdown needed
to be collected by calling and getting inside to speak with a
technician at New Century, Inc.

If they would offer these as fully coated for reseller's price I'd
otherwise say WOW and have personally reviewed them for us.

Be leary of the New Century or NCStar 20x70 model binoculars as some
sellers are claiming "fully coated lenses" which is apparently a false
statement.

Still on the hunt for the next great Super Bargain...

Hi, Pete,
The FOV is 67 feet at 1000 yards - isn't that just over a degree?
Around 70 arc-minutes?
Clear skies,

Hi Shneor,

The seller is wrong. If I'm not mistaken others have this model
stated 183 ft. @ 1000yds. which would be more likely correct.
