Does anyone have a suggestion for a stable mount for an Intes MK-66?
My only real wish is that it be stable and quick to set up. Bonus points if it weighs less than me. Thanks! -- Stephen |

Unistar if you don't want an equatorial, either Vixen GP or GP/DX if you
want equatorial or want to do photography/imaging later "Stephen Boulet" wrote in message ... Does anyone have a suggestion for a stable mount for an Intes MK-66? My only real wish is that it be stable and quick to set up. Bonus points if it weighs less than me. Thanks! -- Stephen |

Thanks for the responses. The reason I posted this in the first place is
because I'm not happy with my current setup. I have an MK-66, a Giro-2 mount, and a Tiffen ST600 tripod. The problem is that I have no good solution for mating the mount to the tripod (the mount is 3/8" threaded and the tripod is bigger, maybe 1/2 inch). I rigged up something with hardware store parts and it resonates quite nicely. ![]() I'm starting to think that I should sell the tripod and get a wooden tripod that I know fits the mount. Any suggestions? -- Stephen Chuck Scappaticci wrote: Unistar if you don't want an equatorial, either Vixen GP or GP/DX if you want equatorial or want to do photography/imaging later "Stephen Boulet" wrote in message ...
