![]() In 1897 there were many sightings of great airships from California to Texas. However the airplane would not be invented for another 6 years, and neither had large dirigibles or blimps yet been flown. In Aurora, Texas one such ship crashed into a windmill or tower and exploded. An eyewitness said it was trailing smoke as it went down. It is reported that local towns folk recovered a body from the wreckage which they determined was not human, and suspected of being a Martian. They buried the body in the town cemetery. They then disposed of the wreckage down a well. Later the well was cleared a new owner of the farm. He drank the water for twelve years, and his hands became terribly deformed! Attempts have been made to exhume the body, and examine the well, but necessary permissions have not been successfully obtained. Bits of metal from an unusual aluminum-iron alloy have been found at the reported crash site. http://ufocasebook.com/Aurora.html Does Darla know anything about this? Double-A |

Isn't it the EPA's job to examine wells that are connected to sicknesses? |

I suggest that SF fans be asked to donate money which would be used to pay the well owner to allow the well to be examined, and pay the cemetary owner to allow the body to be exhumed. |

Epidemiology was invented by a Doctor Dr John Snow who by careful deduction, realised that a well in Broadwick Street, London feeding a pump was polluted by Cholera from sewage leaking into its supply. He chained the pump up and the disease stopped. It's still there as a memorial to him. http://www.ph.ucla.edu/epi/snow.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadwick_Street |

Confirms what I said in a previous thread where someone suggested that UFOs always conformed to the style of the times when they were seen, when the actual case is that flying objects have often appeared decades or centuries before their style of construction has come around. |
