[whoops - forgot to post to s.a.a. last night - tiredness rules.
Apologies if you've seen this already elsewhere] As the skies were clear and there was little wind last night, I decided to have a go at taking a sequence of shots to animate Saturn's moons. The capture went on longer than anticipated and I managed to get a total of 34 frames, at approximately 5 minute intervals, between midnight on the 4th and 3am on the 5th. Sequence has taken a few hours to process - whether it was ultimately worth it I don't know ;-) I've not got to deal with the heap of avi's of the planet I grabbed as well. A quick processed result is also shown at the bottom of the page. http://www.digitalsky.org.uk/saturn/...-20060204.html -- Pete http://www.digitalsky.org.uk |

I am waiting for a little more Lunar practice and to get my barlow in order (Celestron Ulitma with an extremely tight barrel) and then it's off to Saturn with my C 8 from my backyard, and my C 11 G 11 from out in the country. -- AM http://sctuser.home.comcast.net CentOS 4.2 KDE 3.3 |
