Default Saturn 18th Dec - *Big* Improvement

Hi all,

Far and away the best Saturn image I've ever got! Good seeing and
painstaking collimation were the reasons.

It's a standard Celestron C-11 on a Losmandy G-11 mount, very carefully
collimated. I used a 3x Televue Barlow, projected to about 3.5x giving about
f/35. The camera is a standard ATIK-1HS using Astronomik RGB filters.

Ian.

Even if it was a painstaking job, it was worth doing it
Really nice pictures.

Another late night and another great image Ian

did the re-registax of the red channel fix the processing artefact from the
11th? I have noticed an double edge on some of my images that I have been
unable to fix so far.

btw you will do well to top this one next week ;-)
thanks for sharing
Darren
