I recently received the following email from RITI, took the plunge, and
upgraded to Lunar Map Pro 4.0 Deluxe. Am I glad I did.

Their new program is far better than LMP 3.0. It's faster, with lots of
new features and upgrades. The higher map resolution puts it into a
league by itself, and the copy protection that bothered many of us is

OTOH, I've been very happy with the (free) Virtual Moon Atlas and the
(inexpensive) LunarPhase Pro.

Hi Rod,

I also have VMA and Lunar Phase Pro, but Lunar Map Pro 4.0 has me
completely hooked. The enhanced resolution of the new image map alone
is worth the price, and it's packed with professional capabilities that
the other two programs just don't have, like multiple map choices, 3D,
and Point-of-View, plus the map display now tilts to match the correct
sky position.

Once you go through the learning curve, I doubt that you would ever use
the other programs. I think it's that good!

The program was exhibited in a preliminary form at NEAF in mid
April. RITI was selling the previous version 3.0 at discount in
preparation to issue version 4.0.

Hi Susan,

Nope! The copy protection features found in the earlier versions are
now gone. You just install it and run it!

Also, wait until you see the enhanced map resolution in LMP 4.0.
You'll love it!
