Default ... another "What For" ~ from Morning Wood

"... the Quantum, the Micro World,
While the everyday, we call the Macro
World."
~ Bert

"... Bert?
I think that's where people sometimes go
If they're really lost or alone, too.

Once you're there, if
You're alone, or without a map,
It can be hard to come back. And that can make someone

Really scared, even though that place is not bad,
And really rather nice
In so many, many ways.

.... but also,

One looses the knack for functioning in that Macro
World, which marches on relentlessly, even

If big dirty boots stomp
Right over you, like road kill.

.... I wrote a play about it once, yes, I
Produced and directed the play at The Agassiz
Theater, in Cambridge Ma. Mr.

Travis Preston, Great Play Director, who learned from Mr.
Robert Brustein, along with Mr.
Peter Sellars, that other director, not the panther
Pink ~ Yall please come on down,

Because don't you know?

My Late Great Bud Mr.
John Dunlap once told me that Mr.

Brustein produced Checkov's 'The Seagull' accompanied
To Mr.

Steven Reich's 'Composition for 18 Musicians,' at the Yale Rep,
In New Haven, Connecticut,

And that inspired me, sight unseen,
To write 'The

Lamentation.'

Honest!"

"... I wrote a play about it once,
The Micro World, The Quantum,

How to get there from here,
Just like Ms.
Shirley McClaine wrote about,

Yes, I
Produced and directed the play at The Agassiz

Theater, in Cambridge
Ma. Mr.
Travis Preston, my teacher,

.... and I used some of Mr.
Brian Eno's words

From 'Ambient Music.' So please, if you ever

Pick up a copy of that CD, please just read the words,

And think of me and my friend Rocky,
Who introduced me to Mr.

Eno's music, and after Rocky died, he committed suicide,
I inherited Rocky's music albums,

Including Mr.
Phillip Glass ~ Just hear 'Einstein On the Beach,'

Or

'Glass Pieces,'

Ca.
1979.

That'll take you there ..."

"... or just see ~ Mr.
Allan Lightman, too, who dreamed a few of Einstein's

Dreams, too! Or if Allan's unaavailble, just see Ronnie,
Allan's brother ~ Ron'll take you there,

Too! Where, if you're lucky, you'll bump into The
Ilk of Too."
