in the last few years, but well known), is the same
Jim Oberg who appears on various national news programs
from time to time, who used to work for NASA in shuttle
flight control, has written extensively on Soviet and
western space programs etc.

A large number of movers and shakers in the space business
either hang out in, or have hung out in, the sci.space.*
newsgroups over the years. Not so much the NASA or large
space company establishments (plenty of individuals,
but not high level), but principals and key staff of
many smaller companies have been around these groups
extensively over the years. Many of them are posting
a lot less now, but still read from time to time.

Most of us will be at Space Access 04 in Phoenix in
six weeks, too. We buy each other drinks and stay up all
night trading rocket test accident war stories.

I don't particularly care what the background level
of scepticism is on alt.alien.visitors, but if you
are going to crosspost into sci.space newsgroups,
please be aware that you are talking to a set of
people that includes (but is not exclusively) the
actual professional community. An odd slice through
it in many ways; most of the money is in places
that the people here aren't. But a lot of the
innovative activity and innovative companies and
people are here and well represented.
