Default We Went to the Moon on Feet and Inches

Since you can't walk to the moon, there is no way anyone could have gone to
the Moon on their feet.

And as far as I know, neither the CM nor the LEM were outfitted to allow
astronauts to operate switches with their feet.

Since the metric system was dreamed up by the republican French, I think
it's very American to switch from a system of units based on the length
of an English king's foot.

Will we have to wait for you and people who feel strongly as you might
seem to, to pass away before we stop deluding ourselves that it really
matters the French had anything to do with a system of measurement enough
to make it unwelcome?

WTF? Dude.

Read it again. Because it was invented by the republican French, is a good
reason to *support* it, is what I actually said.

Mea Culpa, I was indignant- and read poorly.

Funny too that the word Republic came up as last night I saw some of the
other Presidential Candidates being interviewed on PBS (No, this is not
a de-evolve into a political OT post) and the guy who was sitting there
mentioned we aren't really a Democracy but a REPUBLIC. What I take away
from that is I need to study up on it more.

Anywho, Metric aint bad because of an association to a certain people
and while I personally think kilometers are prickly I am in favor of
converting over.
