Great program to simulate sky views but stangely lacks the obvious
ability to show the horizon line. Just shows only "scenery" views for the horizon. |

That would do the same job. Have you tried downloading Stellarium. It's free for PC and very good?Even the iPhone app has an ocean option. The PC option is much more sophisticated then the phone/tablet version. |

Starry Night Pro Plus 7 on Mac OS: Options Other Options Local Horizon. Choose "Custom," but do not bother with "Edit | Edit Custom Horizon." Under Opacity choose Opaque, Translucent, or Outline as you prefer. I use "Outline" because I only want to see the horizon line. Consider TheSkyX Professional Edition. I am, PC running Windows 7 and SN Enthusiast 7.
