I bought mine, with the 1 1/4 inch adapter from Starizona in Tucson, AZ. I've heard that Anacortes also sells them. Rockett Crawford http://web2.airmail.net/capella |

Also check Pocketscope.com. You would need to buy an adapter though as
Pocketscope does not carry one. On Wed, 12 Nov 2003 15:09:23 -0500, "steve s" wrote: I checked the web searches and they seem all in germany or france, is there places stateside that sells them? |

Also, note that the Logitech Quickcam 4000 is essentially the same camera (same sensor, same chipset). It is less expensive and more easily obtained in the U.S., and will give you identical results. _________________________________________________ Chris L Peterson Cloudbait Observatory http://www.cloudbait.com |

However, remember you'll need to figure in the cost of a Mogg or similar 1.25" adapter, Scopetronix and some of the others are offering pretty good deals on Toucams equipped with 1.25" adapters. With a QC4000, all you need is a standard C-mount to 1.25 adapter. In fact, if you are really on a shoestring you can make a perfectly good adapter with nothing more than a film can and a C-to-CS ring, which costs about a buck. I have this project documented at http://www.cloudbait.com/projects/qc4000.html . _________________________________________________ Chris L Peterson Cloudbait Observatory http://www.cloudbait.com |

That means that any adapter that claims to be C-mount should work. I've used several C-CS adapter rings, a C-mount lens, and a C-mount to 1.25 adapter from Adirondack, and all fit perfectly. _________________________________________________ Chris L Peterson Cloudbait Observatory http://www.cloudbait.com |
