....Starting at 7pm CDT, The Hitler Channel(*) will be airing the
Apollo 11 EVA coverage "As It Happened". Similar to what A&E has done with both Apollo 11 and the JFK assassination, the big difference is that this coverage is Unca Walter Cronkite's Magnum Opus for See-BS. HC promises that this will be unedited and with "limited commercial interruption". No word if Tang is a sponsor, although we can rule out Gulf Oil :-P As a result of just now finding out about this, my weekend is shot. I now have to reroute the cable from the living room to the computer room, and decide whether to drag the old Video Capture Box out of retirement, or run up to Frey's on Sunday and fork over $$$ for a new capture card that I honestly can't afford right now... (*) Normally known as the History Channel, but we know better :-P OM -- ]=====================================[ ] OMBlog - http://www.io.com/~o_m/omworld [ ] Let's face it: Sometimes you *need* [ ] an obnoxious opinion in your day! The History Television channel up here doesn't show any such coverage in their schedule, and the only other such A11 coverage I have comes from PBS on the 25th Anniv, which was of ABC A11 coverage, 6 hours worth, with no interruptions, on VHS. Andre In looking at the TV schedule, it appears that this will be the moon landing not the EV and only be 30 minutes in length. |

Benedict and Barbree should still be ashamed of that particular hack job. As I understand it, this "Moonshot" is not the Shepard/Slayton/Barbee/Benedict one but a new one about the UFO following A11. -- Replace you know what by j to email |
