A wussy little 1.2 tonne Iridium and a few tonnes of something
Russian just made one hell of a mess, that’s only going to get worse
before getting better for ISS and any number of other satellites.

This could cascade, and if it does our future of reliable satellite
placements is at risk, not to mention complex consequences for manned
missions.

Iridium 33 (560 kg) + Cosmos 2251 (900 kg) = I told you so.

reliable satellite placements is at risk, not to mention complex to
lethal consequences for manned missions.

Not to be overtly cynical, I have read all posts per this thread,
reading via Google makes this medium like Instant Messages, but by now
this story is turned into needing more funds:

Welcome to holding you hostage by staging the failures.

No no. It's OK. It's just taxes.

A bit of self-promotion... Somewhere I wrote and Hulu.com stole:

Hulu has not plagiarized from you, unless you are the 1950
author of "To serve Man"...which is a tale about a cook book
from/by the Aliens on how to stew and barbeque humans.
It was even an episode in the "Twilight Zone" in the 1960's.

So, why does Hulu give your geriatric shvantzl such a hard-on?
..... ahahaha... Remember it's HulU, hulU... not HulA-HulA....

No no, I still enjoy the non-veg.

Hulu has not plagiarized from you, unless you are the 1950
author of "To serve Man"...which is a tale about a cook book
from/by the Aliens on how to stew and barbeque humans.
It was even an episode in the "Twilight Zone" in the 1960's.

Of course I did not write for Twilight Zone. Would that have been, I'd
be quite dead by now. But on Jan 25th I made a "To Serve Man" post
with the "To be and do evil" theme. Remember, it was in defense of Tom
Potter's profile having been banned at Google. I don't think you need
links, but if so let me know.

So, why does Hulu give your geriatric shvantzl such a hard-on?
.... ahahaha... Remember it's HulU, hulU... not HulA-HulA....

Timing. My claim is that Hulu imitated/plagiarized my rant to make
their Ad. On Jan 26th Hulu announced, for the first time, they will
even do a Superbowl Ad. The Timing is a major clue. From 1/25 to /126
is a day away -- relativity notwithstanding. I'm forced to throw in
some Physics. Read this link:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13577_3-10...ag=mncol;posts

It's not just "To Serve Man" in that Hulu Ad. It's the whole:
"To serve Man.... hmm... with red or white wine.
To be and do evil ... while eating the mind of well served Man.
Enjo(y)."

The lesson, so far, is be careful what you write because People are
quick to take credit for words and thoughts they themselves did not
author/compute/express. I know ideas are not copyrighted. Infringement
of Copyrights still exists for a reason. In this age of instant social
networking, where every corporate entity is scanning every word come
to be, there still has to be a fine line between Writing and
Plagiarism.

Ok ignore every word I said thus far. If it appeals to you. Now
explain how the Hulu Ad is amazingly identical to my writing on Usenet
a week earlier? Did I go back in time? I'm a good Engineer but please.
Note also, I am not saying there's any other Ad I would like credit
for. Explain that coincidence. If you suspect it's routine, then find
me another post/blog that can also claim to be similar to my rant.

Read my, as Mahipal7638, comments at:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13577_3-10...20&part=sphere

A lot of people like that Ad. I like that Ad. I have to, I authored
it. Minus some embellishments.

Not just me, all writers/authors/posters need to be concerned if their
work isn't being stolen plagiarized.

No Hulu has hot answered my emails saying anything about the
similarities and the timing between my rant and the Ad.

Mahipal
Just in case, here's the Jan 25the rant/post I refer to:

Everything in orbit or beyond has been paid for by the lower 99.9% of
us, including whatever it's going to take for cleaning up the mess.
It's still war, you know.

trouble is theres no real fix to remove all the debris, worse small

And even after the two wars and "stimulus" there's still plenty left
over to "save" space!

Very nice article "spin" I'd say. No political "conspiracy" here, I'd
say. Keep moving along. Nothing more to see. Drop your wallet in the
barrels provided...

Of course it could, but does NASA care? "acceptable risk" they said
no doubt thinking that they can't be unlucky all the time...

But hey, spewing space with junk is a normal human thing to do. Ever
see the trash around a shack in West Virginia? Same thing here. Hey,
if nobody likes it then let THEM clean up the mess. As for us, we are
jes gonna sit in this here rocker on the front porch of our space
station!
