In the light of the newly planned third runway for Heathrow over
existing bird sanctuaries today and the successful bringing down
of a US Airways Airbus 320 in the Hudson river, Greenpeace
have changed Thanksgiving to the third Thursday in January and
hope the EPA and tree hugging turkeys take notice, a spokesgoose
for Greenpeace honked.

It's been conclusively proven that the geese were Moslem suicide
terrorists who hurled themselves into the engines.

Of course. That's why we are changing Thanksgiving in recognition
of their martyrdom. Turkeys across the world will cheer.

Don't need terrorists, just the politically correct idiots who
are so kind to animals that they feed geese when those geese
are supposed to have flown south for the winter.

Ducks Unlimited is mostly responsible. They spend a lot of money on
protecting and improving the Canadian breeding sites and are pro
hunter.
It would be really funny if distressed passengers filed suit against

Yeah, especially if it was seagulls that caused the crash.

That'll never fly.

At least the geese were not using phosphorus eggs (as far as we know).
Ok, ok, it was a bad yolk...

I do like the idea of snapping off the engines when landing on water,
that idea should be explored further. Explosive bolts, perhaps, followed
by big air bags. At the very least a hydrofoil under each engine.

That "engine snap off" idea has been not only explored but
was designed into the Airbus models with the intent that when
landing on water for the engines to snap off to facilitate a
smoother belly landing and easier hydro-planeing...
so reported CNN/HLN yesterday....
