![]() Lin Liangtai of Taipei, Taiwan, one of the few honest, courgeous scientists on earth, posted the following message to sci.anthropology.paleo on Sunday, seeking assistance in confirming that the physical evidence exists to confirm that life had existed on Mars. Newsgroups: sci.anthropology.paleo From: Lin Liangtai Date: Sun, 6 Jul 2008 08:00:08 -0700 (PDT) Local: Sun, Jul 6 2008 11:00 am Subject: This Martian cell remains look like an immature megakaryocyte Martian cell (Fig. 1) is found to look like an Earthly cell. (Fig. 2). They are respectively 68 microns and 66 microns in diameter. They are both shaped like an immature megakaryocite (Fig. 3), which normally measures between 50 microns and 100 microns in diameter. Your advice would be appreciated. Fig. 1: http://www.wretch.cc/album/show.php?...555098343&p=13 Fig. 2: http://www.wretch.cc/album/show.php?...1555082228&p=0 Fig. 3: http://www.wretch.cc/album/show.php?...555146775&p=64 ============================= No question, very few people have ever even heard of a megakaryocyte (me included). =============================== FROM THE MERRIAM-WEBSTER DICTIONARY MEGAKARYOCYTE Entry: mega·kar·yo·cyte Function: noun Date: 1890 A large cell that has a lobulated nucleus, is found especially in the bone marrow, and is the source of blood platelets =============================== But Lin Liangtai knows his stuff -- and shows plenty of humility and character by reaching out for an honest scientist or two to provide assistance. It's a REAL CHANCE TO PROVE that Mars had life, and that WE HAVE NOT BEEN ALONE. That we are not -- repeat, NOT -- the only life, especially intelligent life, among the zillions of planets out there in space.
