This is from a 5:5:10 minute RGB exposure using my home-made focal reducer
and STL-1301E on an OGS 20RC. This gives about F/5. I need to work on the vignetting with this lens. For more info on M-14 see: http://www.kopernik.org/images/archive/m14.htm George N |

What with all the clouds and no comet here I should see if I can salvage it. Seeing was just too bad for a globular. I noticed SBIG stopped making that camera. Guess large pixels are out of favor any more. I see a few dealers still are saying they can provide LX200R OTA's. Don't know if they are just lax about updating their pages or not. If you hurry you might get lucky. www.telescopes.com (they aren't far from me) and www.optcorp.com had them on their web pages a few days ago. Both, though, drop ship from Meade so if Meade is out that's it. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |
