2023 Gallup poll

On the third anniversary of the arrival of the Antarans opening diplomatic
relations with Earth 73% of Americans said they were unaware of it. 64% said the
people with the reptilian scales were Mexicans with a skin disease.

Consider the odd polls we read and learn the majority of the population is
divorced from current affairs. Does anyone take it seriously when there is a
suggestion that the arrival of aliens will lead to mass panic, destruction of
society, milk curdling, cats and dogs living together?

We know what we are like. My imaginary poll is the most likely consequence of
contact with aliens.

The next most likely is a government conspiracy to fake contact.
