Moonlight and mediocre seeing compromised the view of this pair of
interacting galaxies in Canes Venatici. Taken from the middle of Berlin with an 8" SCT at f/6.5, G11 mount, SXV-H9 camera, 44x5 minutes. The picture can also be found at www.slilge.de/temp/5395-44x5gut.jpg Stefan |

I have a tough time with the moon. Yet it can't compare to what you deal with with both moon and Berlin lights. You just added another one to my list! That's an interesting pair. I vaguely remember seeing them visually from high in the Sierra Nevada mountains the night before a sheep herd came through and destroyed our camp. We saved the scopes but lost all the camping gear. Don't camp in open range, even if you are above timberline! There's still grass for those $%#@ sheep. I'm just finishing up processing a different pair of interacting galaxies. I should post them later today. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |
