While I still have the rockerbox for B8 to be built over, at lest I do now
have Telrads on all my dob's, no more having to trade ones between scops.
With a 30 to 40mph wind blowing threw the desert, I'm just not working on
the rockerbox until it is less windy and as tuesday I have to be at the
docs, no if very little work that day. But it is looking up.

One question, on B8 near the time I had to take it apart, I was not getting
a clear view of Jupiter and a few other things, I am thinking that maybe the
mirror was just a little to far back in the tube, I'm been thinging that
maybe 1/4inch or 1/2 inch forward in the tube would do it, what you all
think?

Glad to hear it's coming along so well, keep after it.

Seeing has been notoriously bad all over the place this Spring.
I would suggest a lot of retesting first and if it looks like the
mirror is too far back try loosening the cell screws if it has
them. This will advance the mirror some. I would do this
before doing any drilling again.
But retest on Saturn, Moon, etc...

B8's mirror cell is a home built one from a guy up north, I had been using
it, but I had noticed jupiter was never real sharp, a lot of the time I
blamed the moving air, but on still nights why even the moon was not as
sharp as it is in B10, and it is made so it allowes free air movement, so
I'm going to mark and make the hole for the mounting screws a 1/4inch
forward and I'll have to aline and use it as a full scope, I had noticed
that the ep could not be moved all the way for a better image, so I'll do a
one night test here. I've got to get some metal angles from the hardware
store next month as braces for the main rocketbox parts, once they are
together, then the braces will go i and hold them from coming lose as they
did before. But right now, while we have sun shining, the winds are blowing
so bad I'm not taking anything outside, heck a 18 wheeler just went past my
trailer and it was a riding the wind.

I'm also watching for a car, but what I find in this area is crasy! found a
1969 chavy carryall the other day, had a 4 sale sign in it so I looked, then
I turned and fired my warp engines to get away for it and the $27,500 price
they where asking! Ouch!

Want to hear something funny? I have gotten at lest 3 papers from outfits
that want to loan me at lest $10,000 for $200 a month based on the HOUSE I
live in. This shows they know a grand total of Nothing about this area and
where I live, since it's a House Trailer. I think those are funny.

Sounds like the owner was rating the thing as an
antique. Does it look like an antique?

The only acks I get now are from my feet when I have to do the 8mile round
trip to the market and back. No real cheap cars up this way, hack I saw an
ad for a 85 car with good tires and body for $700 so I called and found out
it has no engine. But today just for the heack of it I've been looking at
the cars on ebay, been seeing the ads from all over the us and some are junk
too. But I've got one in my ebay watching area, it's a 1979 sadam caddy,
right now it's at $600.00 I'm hoping it stays about that and if it does I'll
see if I can use up they money in the bank and see if I can get it, it's not
so far away, landers which is the just north of palm springs. He could drive
it here to me and I could take him back home. He'd have to tow it as it's
got a no=op on it because they've not been driving it and it does run good.

One guy had a caddy up the road, not to bad looking at all, only wanter
$3,000 for it last year, but he had to move two months ago too.
