Bert, you did it again!...

Your little reminder up there made me go back
and rethink the laws of thermodynamics. As you
recall, the first law is all about conservation, and
the second law is all about how energy loses its
usefulness, energy deteriorates, disperses. Energy
goes from "high grade" to "low grade".

When we think about dispersion and obeying the
inverse square law, and when we apply these only
to the energies we know about, it's easy to accept
the eventual...

"heat death of the Universe"

All energies eventually reach equilibrium. But not
so according to Bill and Wolter! Spatial energy
must be sort of an "ultra-high grade" energy that,
by virtue of the 2nd law, seeks out the lower grade
energies, the nuclear and EM and matter itself. It
"deteriorates" and disperses into the known "high
grade" energies, which then continue to disperse.

And where do these go? Back into space! The
ultra-high grade energy of space that causes the
effect we call "gravity" reabsorbs the dispersed
low grade energies and the cycle completes itself,
the Universe goes on.

There is no heat death. There will never be energy
equilibrium on a Universal level. Replenishment is
the key. The Universe goes on.

....and on...

....and on...

....and on...

happy days and...
starry starry nights!

Yeah Paine, if you remember this was discussed here several years ago.
It's a primary tenet of the CBB model. When the universe reaches the
point of maximum expansion and enters the Contraction phase, that's
the beginning of the onset of *reversal of entropy* at the universal
level. It's illustrated here (you posted this page recently too) -

http://community-2.webtv.net/oldcoot/ContinuousBigBang/

The perception of "ever-accelerating expansion" grew out of the 1a
supernova data (circa 1996) which showed the most distant SN1a
appearing 'dimmer than they should be'.. which was interpreted as
evidence of accelerating expansion.
That's the natural interpretation if space in indeed a 'void'. But if
space is *not* a void but a universal, fluidic Plenum, it's gonna have
a density gradient that shows up at deep cosmological distances,
closer in to the BB (as shown on page 2). Light that began its journey
in denser, 'hotter' space and propagated into 'our' less dense,
'cooler' space is naturally gonna lose amplitde and appear dimmer,
just as is observed. And the expansion curve is shifted toward
DEcelerating expansion and a closed universe (as mentioned many times
over the years).

This'll provoke a cacaphanous fusilade of noise from the usual
contingent. Where you been engaging in tete-a-tetes with them at their
own level, why not just stow 'em and forget 'em? The old adage "when
you rassle with curs you get their fleas" is certainly applicable
here. If you could bring yourself to ignore 'em you'd be rid of the
"fleas".

I have this tenant, an old lady with a scroungy, tiny mutt i call a
'pit yorkie'. The damn thing will go into fits of shrill yip-yapping
till it's hoarse and gagging, as if from a prolapsed larynx. Its
compulsive noise-for-the-sake-of-noise is so much like that of the
'contingent' here, and conveys as much intelligence. This DSL rig
features a snazzy plonker so it's easy to just 'plonkerize' the noise
sources and forget 'em.

I remember reading about it and discussing it,
but not understanding it. I think i'm starting to
get it. I'm working on bringing back something
you did not appear too favorable for... the idea
of the SPED operating on different frequencies
(energy levels) within its domain, and what the
different energy levels might signify. If it comes
together like i think it will, it will help me to
better understand what you're saying about
entrained flow fields and their effects on fields
within fields, and on fields they are themselves
within. Maybe it's nothing, but i'm going to try
anyway.

I understand. I don't killfile, though, but i do
understand the feelings of some who *do* like
to plonk, and who find me and others whom
they don't plonk responding to the worthless
plonked posters.

BTW, does that old lady's scroungy, tiny mutt
pit yorkie possess webbed feet? and is it named
"Phineas"? by any chance? g

Sure sounds like the Art Deco suckp0ppet!

Nope, ultra-high grade energy in the supra- and
sub-Planck energy-level domain. Le Sage dealt
with ultra-low grade energy (matter). His was a
particulate theory of gravity that is no longer
considered valid. There are a few similarities,
however, which is probably why you bring him
up. At risk of incurring and enduring your
undying love and having you follow me around
again like a horny puppy-dog, you get kudos
for noticing the similarity.

Should i nominate you for some kind of award
or something?
