Default FS--Galileo Slide set by ASP, with tray

A set of 58 slides by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific in a Kodak
Carousel tray . All are as new and their quality is superb. The set
contains images taken by the Galileo spacecraft in its flyby of Jupiter
in 1995. It is accompanied by a (slightly wrinkled) 38-page booklet with
a forward by David Morrison, project scientist. Each slide has a
detailed description and there is a 3-page bibliography. Comparable sets
without a tray average about $1.25 per slide.--this one is $40 with the
tray, plus shipping.

Better sell them quick, while there are still a few people with working
slide projectors! g

Oh, you have one, too?? :-) I think my Kodak is a model 4600.... I dare
not part with it.

Take good care of it. These projectors are basically unserviceable. I
was at a planetarium conference a year ago, and found that there are a
few companies that specialize in machining replacement parts for
carousel projectors. Seems there are still hundreds of planetarium shows
that depend on slides, in spite of digital projectors. These guys are
having great difficulty (and expense) keeping their projectors running.

That's why they're here. Our local planetarium runs Kodaks--good thing
the director is God's own pack rat.

So I've been told. I keep mine in its original cardboard case, complete with
manual, remote and "C" type zoom lens. I don't think those curved lenses did
any good. I still always had to refocus between center and edge. As long as
someone still sells lamps, it should continue to last me a long time.
