Default Turbulence and diaphragm

Hi all,
Someone has direct experiences or documentations or you draws that speak of the technique of
diaphragm of the telescope amateur to contain, at least partly, the effects
negative of the seeing?

Thanks in advance

Hi Giorgio,

I think you are asking about an "Aperture Mask"?

The mask is placed over the front of the telescope to reduce the aperture,
increase the focal length, and reduce the negative aspects of poor seeing
conditions.

Doing a google search for "telescope aperture mask" returned some useful
links for you.

Such as :-

Hope this helps you.

Very best wishes and clear, dark skies.

Err, it does not change the focal length, you really meant to say
focal ratio I think ?
