Hi!
I am looking for astronomical software (freeware or trial) which can help me in planing observations, that is, I want fix parameters of telescope and parameters like time, object type, magnitudo range, position of stand and obtain list of objects with their co-ordinates. It would be great if this software can also generate sky map with telescope view. I will be grateful for Yours advice. Jakub |

Jakub Hi Jakub, welcome to sci.astro This is a common request and the most recommended freeware software is probably Cartes de Ciel. http://www.stargazing.net/astropc/ |

thx, Yours links was really helpfull, I found a lot of software in the
web, however most of them were amateur. I have to prepare observations on two meters diemeter telescope and it was hard to count everything on paper. Yours sincerely, Jakub. |

![]() You have a 2 meter telescope and want "free or trial software" to do your work! Is that about it? Steve No, I am a student of astrophysics. It was my first work with so big instrument. I needed free, fast tool to calculate co-ordinates and prepare list of intresting, visible galaxies, because I had no time to do that myself. Despite that, I had a lot of work with data analysis scripts and theoretical expectations. Jakub |
