Yesterday while sitting out at the park table reading my Sky & Tel. the
other people where talking and then the trailer park owner came over and sat
down, seeing my magazine, he asked what was new and as he asked (his mistake
not mine) I told him about the IAU and what they where working on and the
vote would be this next week.

he then came up with one of his totaly off the wall things, that what where
they going to call things that where planet in size but did orbit around any
sun. I said that it would still be a planet if it was big and basicly round
it would be a planet. Then he came up with something else that was so far
out in left field it off this planet ;} and then he said the IAU didn't
matter to him, that to him they where nothing and because of that they did
not mean anything to anyone on earth. I turn around and looked at him and
said that in the over all way of life that he amounted to ZERO and that the
IAU wouldn't ever take note of him anyway, that he'd better go up to his
church of druggers and go pay for their habbits.

Oh can you say "He got mad and left the table"???

If John Bolton requires an assistant, I think you're at the front of the
queue with that dimplomacy.

Well the guy can really get on your bad side real fast. He acts like he's
got a high IQ, but he dropped out of high school and has never held a
outside the park job. Plus the church he goes to is full of doppers, he goes
to a meeting at a local eating place on wensday night and from what I've
been told by the people there (Yes I eat at the same place once a month) he
ends up paying for all the dinners. About 1/2 of them have tried to hit me
up for money while I've been set up at the corner, they get turned down too
real fast.

The main thing is that he'll come up with something he read in some trash
paper and take it for 100% fact, like the mars deal going around now, he
belives in that 101%!

Oh ya, he totaly belives the earth is only 7,000 years old too.

need I say anymore? When he does come out to the park table, most the others
don't talk to him or just leave.

The old vietnam vet down in #20 had to go to the hostpital, he was so weake,
another week he'd have died, and why? Because the park owner had him on a
diet of nothing but viggies turned into mush via blender and his blood suger
was under 40, because of that diet, he not only became to weak but his eye
sight is failing too.

I could go on, but I'll end this now.

The park owner has as much clout with the IAU as the IAU has with the
park owner. Looks like they both can survive without each other.

Well he almost never uses his computer, one time he had some photos on it
and he asked me to look for them, found them fast in his "My Photo" folder.
He's got at lest 3 t.v. sets and will have on 3 holy roller shows ( not the
same one even) at the same time.

He has tried to get others to go to the church and everyone else has told
him flat out to STOP talking church when in their trailer or just talking to
them.

Oh BTW, this trailer is an old old expando one, with the expandtion on the
front room area and he even told me 2 months ago that HE put in the plywood
celing for the paper tile to be glued onto and HE used screws that where to
long and that's why it leaked and yet he called it an act of god.

I have done a good job of finding those screw points, grind them down and
cocked them up with roof cocking for trailers and in another month or two,
I'll put the "Snow White" coving on to seal the whole thing.

Oh ya, he's been to the hostpital two times himself with major eye troubles
and yet during the healing time, he'll still drive to church even when his
sight is still fuzzy.

Hay!!! There's 2 other trailers that are empty, he's selling them for $3
grand each, know anyone who'd like to live out in the desert and have fair
skys?

From the IAU draft definition of "planet" and "plutons".

"According to the new draft definition, two conditions must be satisfied
for an
object to be called a "planet." First, the object must be in orbit
around a
star, while not being itself a star. Second, the object must be large
enough (or more technically correct, massive enough) for its own gravity
to
pull it into a nearly spherical shape."

So perhaps his question was off the IAU draft proposal rather than off
the wall.
