Default MARS TREK: Advanced Life Forms, Rules #1... by the starswirler

So far, we know of only one advanced life form that
there is evidence for on planet Mars... us. We have
sent roving machines to Mars, so we can truthfully
say that there is evidence of advanced life on Mars!

Now, any discussion of advanced life on Mars or
anywhere else obviously needs some discussion rules,
don't you agree? We don't want to include ourselves
and our robotic presence on Mars, that's a given. So
without further ado, here is rule number one...

RULE #1: There are no rules. All this means is that
we don't have to hold back on our imaginations. We
don't need to stick to any particular line of thought
as regards "life", its "definition", its "limitations", or
even if it may or may not be "carbon-based".

RULE#2: If somebody tries to make a rule in this
MARS Advanced Life thread, including me, then fall
back on Rule#1.

RULE#3: You just *have* to see this video, over and
over again if necessary, until "it" sinks in...

What is "it"? You tell me!

(Can we get that on Ebay? g)

And when "It" finally sinks in, you gotta wonder 'What If' the sphere of
our visible cosmos is on the scale of a 'marble' embedded in a larger,
flowing Process. Thereupon you gotta invoke intuitive extrapolation (IE)
and ask whether that Process might embody the same planform seen
throughout nature, at all levels, in all rotating systems: two
hemispheres and a common equator rotating on a polar axis.

This, of course, invokes chaos theory as well as
intuitive extrapolation, and so begs the question...

"Why stop there?"
