Default Pre-Columbia crews

How many more missions will be flown with crews that were picked before
the Columbia accident? What will be the first mission with a crew
selected post-Columbia? Thanks.

Default Pre-Columbia crews

Before STS-107, the crews were named for:
STS-114,115,116,117,118,119,120
However, some missions were altered significantly..also some crews
were altered here and there.
STS-114's crew changed since they were no longer a ferry flight to the
ISS..but I think 4 of the crew originally named stayed on.
STS-115 I believe is an unchanged crew.
STS-116 is basically the same except Terry Wilcutt was pulled as CDR
for Mark Polanksy, and they'll be switching out one ISS crew member.
STS-117 I also believe is unchanged.
STS-118 is like 116..same except ISS rotation is different
STS-119 will be flown later on - the original crew included 3 or 4 of
the folks who just flew STS-121
STS-120 is the same except Pam Melroy is CDR since Jim Halsell was
pulled from the position..
SO.. that's the long way around of saying STS-122 will be the first
100% named-post-Columbia crew. unless I've missed something...
http://www.spacefacts.de has upcoming crews listed - maybe some other
sites do too

Right. Collins, Kelly, Robinson, and Toguchi stayed on, Malenchenko and
Lu moved to Soyuz after the Columbia accident, and Kaleri lost his seat
when the ISS crew was reduced from three to two. They were replaced by
Lawrence, Camarda, and Thomas.

And I see STS-121 is forgotten already; since the flight was added
post-107, it is the correct answer to Mark's question, even though most
of the crew were previously assigned to other flights. The original crew
was Lindsey, Kelly, and Noriega from 119 and rookie Fossum. Noriega was
replaced by Sellers from 120. When the option for crew rotation was
eliminated, Wilson and Nowak were reassigned from 120 and 118,
respectively. Reiter rounded out the crew as an ISS crew augmentation.

STS-115 I believe is an unchanged crew.

Correct.

STS-116 is basically the same except Terry Wilcutt was pulled as CDR
for Mark Polanksy, and they'll be switching out one ISS crew member.

Correct except Higginbotham moved up from 117 and Patrick was added when
the ISS crew rotation changed from three to one crewmember.

STS-117 I also believe is unchanged.

Correct except Archambault replaced Polansky, Swanson replaced
Higginbotham, and Mastracchio was reassigned to 118 and replaced with
Olivas.

STS-118 is like 116..same except ISS rotation is different

Caldwell was added; Parazynski was reassigned to 120 and replaced by
Mastracchio.

STS-119 will be flown later on - the original crew included 3 or 4 of
the folks who just flew STS-121

On the current manifest, it's after 125. No telling who'll be on the
crew by then. Gernhardt will likely stay since he's become the S6
expert.

STS-120 is the same except Pam Melroy is CDR since Jim Halsell was
pulled from the position..

STS-120 is almost completely different from the original crew; the only
holdover is Foreman. Poindexter was reassigned to 122 and replaced by
Zamka, Sellers and Wilson went to 121 and were eventually replaced by
Nespoli and Wheelock.

SO.. that's the long way around of saying STS-122 will be the first
100% named-post-Columbia crew. unless I've missed something...

Can't be. If 121 is disqualified because it contains crewmembers
reassigned from other flights, then so is 122 because of Poindexter. So
depending on whether reassigned crewmembers are considered "new", the
answer is either 121 (if yes) or the yet-to-be-assigned (except for Doi)
123 (if no).
