Or was it secretly shot down?

In any event, N Korea just lost any leverage
their long range missile might have had.
Too bad for them, great for us~

A banner day!

I think we'd wait a bit longer than just a minute into flight to shoot
it down.

Didn't the missile they launched about 7 years ago work better than this?

Why?
A sea launched PAC 2/3 Patriot would.

The U.S. and Japan should have been able to gather
a lot of intel during today's launch "salvo". North
Korea seems to have played its hand somewhat with
regard to launch decoy strategies, etc.. I wonder,
though, if what is reported is what really happened.

Yeah, that one flew over northern Japan and ended up in the
north-eastern Pacific.
There were even rumors that the remnants of it came down in Alaska.

Bush should thank them for the expensive firework and express his
appreciation that they would join us in celebration of the 4th of July
LOL!

I suppose N Korea could claim they didn't fuel the
second stage or something. But what's great about
the failure is if we'd announced we plan on shooting
it down and missed, it would've been a disaster for us.
But now everyone has to wonder if we did or not.

Uncertainty, my hobby, is everything here.
Where there's uncertainty people tend to assume
the worst/best case. We increased our 'aura', while
they lost theirs.

And it seems now we should be able to complete our missile
defense systems before they get their long range
missile system working.
