Default Star Distances

The background stars don't shift.

Good grief. This is trivial.

For the most part.

1. Take a picture of the nearby star.

2. Six months later, take another picture of the same star.

3. Measure how far the near star has shifted against the
background, in angular units.

But you see taking another picture, at LEAST another picture, is the
equivalent of taking another measurement. You're masking a picture for
an angular measurement.

4. That shift is 2p. [snip]

It's 2p only if you can find a reference star that hasn't shifted
relative to the star you're trying to determine the distance to.

"Gentlemen", you offer nothing to this discussion. It seems your only
reason to post is to prove you have some worth.
