I'm always looking for quality online coursework for my students, and I
just ran by this little jewel, so I thought I would share it with you :

Thanks for the link. Now, who are your students, Professor Elifritz?

Primarily children and the elderly. The mainstream thinks they already
know it all.

So, where are your links? Where is your webpage?

What exactly, do you have to offer?

How about intoducing the mathematics of life
and the 'Fourth' Law of Thermodynamics at the
same time? The science of self organizing systems
as spontaneous order from the random interaction
of multiple agents, such as a fluid. A phase transition
or gradient between simple and complex behavior.

Since this math is valid for the physical, living and
spiritual worlds, you'd be teaching them all the
disciplines at once. Saves time and money, in fact
since I've found this math I've grown two inches taller
my teeth are whiter and I've lost ten pounds.

I highly recomend it! After all, it's the latest math and
is redefining all of science as we speak.

I did not believe parents would allow their kids to come under the
influence of people who would send them down the wrong direction with
astronomy, even prevent them from using their natural intuitive
talents.Holocausts are built on indoctrination and no doubt there will
be no objection to your preening at the dominance of the empirical cult
at the expense of intuitive astonomy.

The alternative is a more balanced view, the re-introduction of the
Copernican reasoning through images, time lapse footage, the original
texts ect so it is not all sturm and drang but a smooth transition to
more stable views.

The basis of 'spacetime' is the 1898 novel by H.G. Wells -

"'Well, I do not mind telling you I have been at work upon this
geometry of Four Dimensions for some time. Some of my results are
curious. For instance, here is a portrait of a man at eight years old,
another at fifteen, another at seventeen, another at twenty-three, and
so on. All these are evidently sections, as it were, Three-Dimensional
representations of his Four-Dimensioned being, which is a fixed and
unalterable thing.

'Scientific people,' proceeded the Time Traveller, after the
pause required for the proper assimilation of this, 'know very well
that Time is only a kind of Space. "

Indifference to the destruction of the astronomical heritage by Newton
leads to the chronic excesses of the early 20th century and indeed if
people are not shocked that relativity is just an extension of a
fictional 19th century Wells narrative then there is little I can do
about it,the dialogue of Well's fictional character could be found 30
years later as a verifiable 'fact' -

"THE NON-MATHEMATICIAN is seized by a mysterious shuddering when he
hears of "four-dimensional" things, by a feeling not unlike that
awakened by thoughts of the occult. And yet there is no more
common-place statement than that the world in which we live is a
four-dimensional space-time continuum."

http://www.bartleby.com/173/17.html

It is difficult to imagine that a creationist mentality would become
the accepted norm of the majority, unfortuantely we live in the middle
of one that is far worse and far more dominant.Again, relativity is the
symptom of the Newtonian disease.

Software mostly, complete w/source (in C or BASIC). But the best program
I've used based upon celestial mechanics (object code only) was on a
68K-based Mac. The program is called 'Voyager II'. 68K-based Macs can be
had for next to nothing and 'Voyager II' is probably freeware for those
systems these days (should check, though).

Anyway, besides being virtually spot on WRT solar system orbital mechanics
you can change your viewing location from many different locations (i.e.
all planets, the sun, the moon, etc.). There is no fancy images, but there
is the ability to add your own objects. I added Comet Hyatake and it
worked great. When the Venus tranist over the sun occurred a few years
back the path on Voyager II was identical to what was in all the science
journals. The program, though being 15 years old, is a great program for
celestial mechnics.
