Default I want to help sue the AUK and the other troublemakers

To this Peinis guy and everyone else involved in the lawsuit against
the usenet stalkers, I want to help out with your case aginst the bad
guys.

I am not a lawyer but I would like to hear more about the situation
and if you have a real shot at nailing these harassers. I might be
willing to contribute something to the legal fund or other help you
might want.

'Lo Jade --

Thank you for wanting to help us [tinu]! I've been
thinking a lot about the situation, and one of my friends
reminded me that it's much better to fight evil by doing
good than by fighting it directly.

Since i'm just a naive and kooky unscientist, i've pretty
much decided not to take any direct action, legal or
otherwise, against anyone on UseNet at this time. It's
because i really believe that people who are actually
good and who have good intentions can often commit
evil behaviour without realizing it.

So i've decided to continue discussing astronomy in my
favorite newsgroup. This is my way of fighting the evil
that is being done here... by making progress in the good.

Thank you again, li'l gooseling, and many happy returns!

happy days and...

That's what my parole officer used to say too! I have to agree with
that philosophy. Sometimes it's not so easy to do good though. Doing
bad can be really really fun.

Since i'm just a naive and kooky unscientist, i've pretty

That's probably best, really. No one who has tried one of those
lawsuits has ever gotten anything out of it but a lot of catcalling
and japery.

It's
because i really believe that people who are actually
good and who have good intentions can often commit
evil behaviour without realizing it.

It is hard for us to say what on usenet can truly be construed as
evil. For indeed, though good conversation may be disrupted, did it
really matter to begin with?

So i've decided to continue discussing astronomy in my

Karma will no doubt reward you, my friend.

Beam me up Jade.

From Painius:

...i really believe that people who are
actually good and who have good
intentions can often commit evil
behaviour without realizing it.

Well, when someone's acting out in a manner that's consistently and
gleefully malevolent, as demonstrated here by the sociopathetic 'maggot'
crowd, it's hard to believe they're doin' it without realizing it.
Then there's people like OG and Zinni, who can be a royal
PITA, but are basically good and decent people.

..one of my friends reminded me that it's
much better to fight evil by doing good
than by fighting it directly.

Such Gandihan / Franciscan pacificism may work with people who are
basically good and decent. Not so sure it'll work with rabid dogs,
though. :-)

So i've decided to continue discussing
astronomy in my favorite newsgroup.
This is my way of fighting the evil that is

Ah yes, "it's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness."
What's a good astronomy-related subject to toss into the
ring? How about the meteorological dynamics sustaining the great red
spot on Jupiter? What keeps that sucka goin' anyhow?

And i wonder, too, just how long that sucka's been goin'?
Or if science even *knows* how long it's been visible on
ol' Jove's surface?

Also the related stuff Wally's posting about... something
about a second red spot? Is the Jupiter "disease" on a
spreading kick? g

Constable Cowin. There was no evidence that persons in the public area were
ever offended, nor that the public area was frequented by gentle old ladies
or convent schoolgirls. Bearing in mind that we are living in a
post-Chatterley, post-Wolfenden age, taking into account all circumstances,

standards, I cannot believe that Sergeant Anderson's language was legally
'offensive'".

Coming from a country which has Waltzing Matilda as a national anthem;
it's hardly surprising ...

Nevertheless, it does "suggest" an *interesting* defense of claiming
that one was NOT being offensive in speech; but rather participating in
normal discourse whilst using the Aussie dialect.

Am I right, " **** "?

All those Aussies have foul ****ing mouths. Goddamn *******s.

Always nice to see you getting into the spirit of things, Fred.

Cordially,

ITYM "Advance Australia Fair".

http://www.dfat.gov.au/facts/nat_anthem.html

Note: ".gov.au"

Of course, one song has interesting words and a memorable tune, and
the other doesn't.

(I've just sight-read AAF, and it's not quite La Marseillaise or "Gott
erhalte Franz den Kaiser", is it?)
