![]() Brad, Let the topic die. You've shown you know less about Nasa, Apollo, the Federal Government, Physics, Chemistry, and Special Education. You are really starting to make the charitable special ed teacher in me... //CRINGE// I don't mean that as an attack, or to be snarky. I mean that I feel like I just found out that the person I thought was an asshole, turned out to be seriously mentally ill. Let the moon hoax die. click message block sender and the world is a happier place You're overlooking Brad's value as an entertainment provider. In my mind's eye, I see him as a cross between Emo Philips, Rev. Jim from "Taxi", and the "French Insult Knight" from MP+THG. |

Robert Juliano; Let the moon hoax die.
But, but, but Sir Juliano, they haven't yet figured out how the heck they're going back there with only a 60:1 rocket/payload. It seems they're also having a rather nasty time figuring out how to stay on top of all that bone dry quick-sand (aka quick-powder) of the naked and thus highly reactive lunar surface that's not likely offering more than a surface clumping tension worth of 5 g/cm2. - Brad Guth |

And YOU haven't figured out how not to crosspost your *mental* ascii diarrhea to rec.models.rockets. There was no lunar landings .. all a hoax.
If you believe that parachutes opened on the splashdown capsule at mach ten and didn't snap off or completely incinerate in a flash, I've got prime Ocean front property in New Mexico for you cheap. Think about it. Steve |

Parachutes weren't operated while at "mach ten", although that has
little if anything to do with the matter of their not going to and especially of their not walking upon our moon. Reentering Earth's atmosphere and of utilizing parachutes prior to their being much below 10,000' is quite doable. I'm not sure what the incoming velocity is once cruising past 10,000' but, by that point it's certainly not "mach ten". Actually, if they had good faith in their automation and deployment timing, 5,000' parachute opening should be just fine and dandy. I believe the first of the smaller/drogue chutes had been deployed at 24,000'. - Brad Guth |

If you believe that the main 'chutes opened at mach 10, which they didn't, you're even MORE clueless than the folks who buy NM ocean front property. Think about it. The designers already have, and did a remarkable job. Try thinking yourself, sometime. It's a wonderful feeling! |
