Losmandy makes a nice dovetail and ring system
http://www.losmandy.com/secondary.html. The DM12 fits your 12" Meade,
and several ring sizes are shown on the same page.

I'm afraid that I'm not in the 12" category, but the Losmandy works
well with my little 8" and a small (TeleVue 76) refractor.

What Davoud said, but also you'll need to get a bottom rail with
counterweight system to offset the load up top. Losmandy has these too.

I have that system, plus the counterweight, on my 8" Celestron
fork-mounted SCT (which does not seem "little" to me!) and it is really
a fine way to go.
