I mentioned this file in another thread, but I'm posting it in its own
thread in case anyone missed it. NASA has posted an online solicitation for CEV models. As part of the solicitation, NASA released a 16-mb, 37-page MS Word document. It has detailed and dimensioned drawings of the CEV capsule, Lunar lander, CEV crew launcher and CEV heavy lift launch vehicle. 16-mb MS Word Document with CEV model drawings http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/eps/eps_da...OL-001-002.doc NASA model solicitation page http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/ep...i?acqid=118283 The CEV command module has four rendezvous windows, four side windows and one hatch window. The CEV service module RCS quads have eight rocket nozzles each and the Lunar lander RCS quads have six rocket nozzles each. -Rusty |

I cannot believe that nasa has the gall to go with a capsule type of
CEV! They are bold as brass in showing they do not give a damn about affordable reusable space planes. They don't care if it is obvious they love mega systems that do nothing for the CATS movement. Impeach nasa. It's only for the aerospace industry giants, not for the little guys space dreams. Abolish it, give it to the Air Force proper, and start over with a real civilian space agency. |

Where I can find the source of the original link to see what license
issue there is. I am thinking about turning those meshes into an orbiter addon. |

The original NASA source is on this URL: http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/ep...i?acqid=118283 The model file URL is listed within the MS word document titled, "118283-OTHER-003-001.doc" The word document is listed near the bottom of the above web page. The Word Documents URL is: http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/eps/eps_da...ER-003-001.doc -Rusty |

Actually, there's a "little guy" whose name escapes me working on an air-launched vehicle that can resupply the station, and it is also a capsue design. .... Abolish it, give it to the Air Force proper ..... The Air Force would work with those same contractors. So no gain there. ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

Why exactly do we need a winged lifting body? To what end? |
