The reference here is to a British TV series, made by the same people who brought you Supercar, Fireball XL5, and Thunderbirds. However, this show was with live actors - they even had Rudi Gernreich designing the costumes. It was called "UFO". Commander Ed Straker, who headed SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization) was played by Ed Bishop; there was an orbiting computerized radar installation called SID (Space Intruder Detector)... and one of the purple-haired ladies was played by Gabrielle Drake, who had a few other roles in movies as well, and had a career that went on for a few years in other activities related to the dramatic field. Noted. However, I'm not the guy to talk to about picking what new models to do (I just build the masters). A decision on the ESAS lunar lander will come after we see how the CEV itself sells; the "Phoenix" would be rather further down the line. Gotta finish the 1/72 Aurora first, anyway. -- "The only thing that galls me about someone burning the American flag is how unoriginal it is. I mean if you're going to pull the Freedom-of-speech card, don't be a hack, come up with something interesting. Fashion Old Glory into a wisecracking puppet and blister the system with a scathing ventriloquism act, or better yet, drape the flag over your head and desecrate it with a large caliber bullet hole."
