Default Frontiers radio program on the SETI Institute

BBC Radio 4 (92-95 FM)
Wednesday, 30 November 2005
21:00 UT

Peter Evans visits the SETI Institute in California, to meet the
researchers whose mission has been to scan the heavens for
signals from other intelligent beings.

With the building of an impressive new radio telescope, dedicated
to SETI's cause, the search has just stepped up a notch, with some
predicting that, if he is out there, we could be picking up ET's
message in the next 25 years.

Jill Tarter, Frank Drake, Seth Shostak and Emma Bakes are
interviewed.

This program will also be broadcast live over the Internet, and
available for subsequent listening at:

Thanks for the heads-up.

The program gave a very well put together summary of what the seti radio
search is and a little of how it is done. A very good introduction to
get people informed and interested.

(And the SOHO probe once got detected as ET! :-O )

Regards,
Martin
