SWNow today there's a press release over in sci.astro claiming that a
SWdifferent object, HE 0437-5439, is indeed a "runaway star" from the SWLMC with a radial velocity of 723 km/s. In article , Martin Hardcastle writes: It's out today: http://arXiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0511321 . I've had a quick glance. They do make a good case, though I don't think it's airtight. -- Steve Willner Phone 617-495-7123 Cambridge, MA 02138 USA (Please email your reply if you want to be sure I see it; include a valid Reply-To address to receive an acknowledgement.
