No, I didn't go up to the corner last night, friday/saterday for that, but I
did take old Babylon 8 out and let it cool down for an hour. By the time the 11pm news was on the scope and some ep's where at outside temps. And mars was up good in the sky. First used my 12mmUO ortho, nice clear sharp image, could just see the start of some kind of marking in one area. Then I tried my 10 & 6mm EP's, the 10 was good even with the driveway light shining at me and the other trailers who run their outside lights all night. 6mm one was ok, but I noticed a bit of fuzznest around the images. Then I took out the 4.8 neggler and YUK, couldn't get a clear image at all, just a big fuzzy ball of orange light. As I lost my high chair to the last rain storm I couldn't stay standing very long. So today I'll be checking the system to see if everything is ok for useage of that EP. It was good for the 2003 viewing, but I've made some changes since then too. -- The Lone Sidewalk Astronomer of Rosamond Telescope Buyers FAQ http://home.inreach.com/starlord Astronomy Net Online Gift Shop http://www.cafepress.com/astronomy_net |
