Default prom in waiting for Monday's solar eclipse

The large filament currently approaching the west limb should be in
place for prominence activity in 72hrs for the solar eclipse on Monday
morning [2005 Oct 3 0750UT-1015UT] for UK's partial - 1 hour later for BST! See

Event is annular in Madrid etc but ~60% here at 0900UT where I hope to get [weather permitting!] some H-alpha shots via My Coronado PST. Good luck for your viewing on the day;-)

At least I can move the PST out of the shadows of neighbours' trees, which
I can't do with my main 'scope.

Lawrence - predicted large prom is on the limb at sunup this morning with
remaining filament on the disk to 'feed' the prom hopefully 'till Monday's partial eclipse where I think prom will remain clear of the moon's limb from UK ;-0.
Will post this morning's prom pic soon at http://home.freeuk.com/m.gavin/pstnew.htm
